A rare set of two (2) plastic armchairs (DAL) by Charles and Ray Eames with white La Fonda bases. Herman Miller production for Fehlbaum, marked. Period 1960-1965.
Black fibreglass shell with ivory colored naugahyde vinyl upholstery. Cast aluminum lacquered 'La Fonda' base. Designed for the La Fonda del Sol restaurant in New York's Time & Life Building.

Dimensions: height 33.5 in. (85 cm), width 25.6 in. (65 cm), depth 23.6 in. (60 cm), seat height: 17.3 inches (44 cm).

In one chair three very small holes, in the other one a minor hole in the vinyl (see pictures). I guess fire holes from a time when we were all smoking (like in 'Mad Men' TV series 2007–2015). Some minor light stains on the seat. Prints from stacking of shockmounts. But over all beautiful patina and in a very good condition.

Price for the pair.
