Rare sculptural modernist wall lamp attributed to Maison Arlus, manufactured in the late 1950s in France. Two acrylic light boxes and a black lacquered metal fixture in a sculptural setting.

The electrical parts have been renewed as well as the wiring. The old acrylic shades were partly melted and cracked and have been replaced by exact handmade copies (see last picture together with the old parts). New brass screws and bolts.

Dimensions: height 11.0 in. (28 cm), width 17.3 in. (44 cm), depth 3.9 inches (10 cm).

The fixture is equipped with four small Edison screw sockets (SES), (E17 14-17 mm) max 15 watt. Works in the USA.

With all these right angles, it is important that the lamp hangs straight. Like a painting, it's annoying when it hangs a bit crooked on the wall. You can correct a bit with the two screws, but you have to pay attention in advance! I had hung the lamp on the one middle hole, then there is still the possibility to turn it a bit.
