The rocking chaise or lounge chair 'Rio' by Oscar Niemeyer for Fasem International, Italy.
The Rio was designed by Oscar Niemeyer and his daughter Anna Maria in 1978. Niemeyer named his chair to the city of Rio de Janeiro where he was born. The city with the beautiful curved lines, seen in bay and especialy on the beach of the Copacabana.
Upholstered in black leather, frame made of black stained ash. Adjustable headrest, with two small sack, filled with lead as contra weights.
This chair is in a top condition manufactured after 2010 and was only used as showroom model, some lost of black paint on the underside of the base (see last picture).
Dimensions: height 33.5 in. (85 cm), depth 23.6 in. (60 cm), length 68.9 inches (175 cm).
