Italian floor lamp by Goffredo Reggiani in chocolate brown with four opaline glass shades. Marked. Goffredo Reggiani (1929-2004) founded his lighting company in 1957 in Monza, a town just north of Milan and home to Arredoluce as well. In these early years Reggiani most often applied plywood and satinized glass in his designs, giving his fixtures a Scandinavian look. During the 1960s and 1970s his interest shifted towards chrome, painted metal and brass, thus merging the Modernist idiom with Italian elegance. This Reggiani model was produced in several variations and colors. The lamp on offer is equipped with four opaline glass shades. The angular bends in the metal stems give this floor light its distinctive sculptural shape.
